Turning PNG images into a PDF is mostly about page size, order and margins. These examples cover the common jobs, from a stack of screenshots to a scanned form.
Five screenshots into one PDF
Add all five PNGs, drag them into the order you want, and choose A4 or Letter with margins. Each image becomes one page, so five images give a five page PDF you can send as a single attachment.
Keeping every image at its original shape
Choose the Fit page size instead of A4 or Letter. Each page is cut to the dimensions of its own image, so tall screenshots stay tall and nothing is scaled to fit a paper size.
Printing on paper
For printing, pick the paper that matches your printer. A4 pages are 595 × 842 points (210 × 297 mm) and US Letter pages are 612 × 792 points (8.5 × 11 in). Margins add 40 points, about 14 mm, on each side.
Landscape images
A wide image on a portrait page leaves large empty bands. Switch the orientation to landscape for charts and slides.

- Are my images uploaded anywhere?

- Does PNG transparency survive?
- Transparent areas are kept inside the PDF. Most PDF viewers show them over a white page, so a transparent logo will look as if it sits on white paper.
- Which page size should I choose?
- A4 for most of the world, Letter for the US and Canada, and Fit when you want every page to match its image exactly.

When to use this
Your client asked for "the screenshots as a PDF." Your boss wants the slide exports in one file. You scanned five pages of a signed contract and now need to send them as a single document. These are all the same problem: you have PNGs, someone else needs a PDF.
PNG-to-PDF is especially common for screenshots, UI mockups, and exported presentation slides. Unlike photos (which are usually JPGs), screenshots and design exports default to PNG — so this is typically the tool you reach for when packaging screen captures or diagram exports into a shareable document.
It also works well for assembling portfolio pages, packaging scanned artwork, or creating simple image-based decks when you don't need transitions or animations.
Good to know
No quality loss. PNG is lossless, and embedding it in a PDF preserves every pixel. Unlike JPG-to-PDF, there are zero compression artifacts introduced during conversion. What you see in the PNG is exactly what appears in the PDF.
"Fit to Image" is usually what you want. Standard page sizes (A4, Letter) add whitespace around your image. If you're packaging screenshots or mockups, "Fit to Image" creates pages sized exactly to each image's dimensions — no awkward borders.
One PDF beats a ZIP of images. Recipients can scroll through a single PDF in any viewer. A ZIP of 12 PNGs requires extracting, sorting, and opening each one separately. PDFs are also easier to annotate and comment on.
Drag to reorder before you generate. Page order matters for multi-page documents. Get the sequence right before hitting convert — it's faster than fixing it in a PDF editor later.
Margins matter for printing. If the PDF will be printed, add margins. Printers clip the outer edges, and borderless content risks losing important details. For screen-only viewing, skip margins to maximize image size.
