A marathon in miles
A marathon is 42.195 km. Divide by 1.609344: 42.195 ÷ 1.609344 = 26.22 miles.
A 100 m sprint in feet
One foot is exactly 0.3048 m, so 100 ÷ 0.3048 = 328.08 ft.
A 2.4 m ceiling in feet and inches
2.4 ÷ 0.3048 = 7.87 ft. The 0.874 of a foot is about 10.5 in, so the ceiling is roughly 7 ft 10½ in.
