clevr.tools is a free collection of online utilities for working with files and text — built for speed, privacy, and simplicity.

Most tools run entirely in your browser. Tools labeled as local process your files or text in browser memory without sending that content to our servers. Any tool that requires external processing is labeled before submission and is unavailable until its data-handling terms have been verified. There's no signup or account; we use only basic usage analytics configured to exclude file contents, filenames, and text inputs.

We built clevr.tools because most online tool sites are slow, cluttered with ads, and shady about what happens to your data. We wanted something we'd actually want to use ourselves — fast, clean, and trustworthy.

Our responsibility

clevr.tools is accountable for the tools and claims we publish. We do not present an unfinished or externally processed capability as a ready-to-use local tool. When a tool needs more evidence or a clearer handling boundary, we can limit it or keep it out of normal discovery while it is reviewed.

The tools are grouped into a few hubs. Each hub page lists every tool in the group, with guidance on choosing between them.

Files & Assets: compress images and PDFs, convert HEIC, PNG, JPG and WebP, merge, split and rotate PDFs, resize and crop images.
Text & Code: count words, clean and convert text, format JSON, encode and decode, and generate passwords and QR codes.
Calculate: unit converters, a cooking converter with ingredient weights, and everyday calculators.
Time: a timer, a stopwatch and a Pomodoro timer.
Test Yourself: typing speed, click speed and reaction-time tests.
Play: the daily number puzzle, Nummit, and a meme generator.

How the tools work

Each tool page tells you, before you begin, where processing happens and what the tool accepts. The file and text tools run in your browser, so closing the tab discards what was in memory. A few features keep small amounts of data on your device, such as a typing test's personal best or your Nummit streak, using your browser's local storage.

The only measurements we collect beyond standard analytics are anonymous counts of finished typing and reaction tests: the test, the score and whether the device has a touchscreen. The privacy page explains exactly what is and isn't recorded. If you run a blog or a classroom page, some of the tools can be added to it from the embed page.
