Each word scores its character count multiplied by your current streak multiplier. Build long streaks without mistakes for the highest scores.

Tips for High Scores

  1. Accuracy is more important than raw speed — broken streaks reset your multiplier
  2. Start with easy mode to build confidence and learn the rhythm
  3. Words auto-submit when typed correctly — no need to press Enter or Space
  4. Keep your eyes on the word, not the input field — trust your typing
  5. Practice with our WPM Test to build raw speed

Difficulty Levels

Easy uses common 4–5 letter words that most people type frequently. Medium uses 6–8 letter words that require more precise typing. Hard uses 8–12 letter words including technical vocabulary that tests both speed and word familiarity.

How Word Blitz Works

Words appear one at a time. Type each word correctly to score points. Build a streak by typing consecutive words without errors. The longer your streak, the higher your multiplier — up to 5x for 30+ words in a row. Your final score depends on both speed and accuracy, making every keystroke count.

Scoring System

Each word is worth points based on its length multiplied by your current streak multiplier. Easy words (4-5 letters) are worth fewer base points but let you build streaks faster. Hard words (8-12 letters) are worth more base points but risk breaking your streak. The optimal strategy balances speed with accuracy to maintain high multipliers.

Difficulty Levels

Easy mode uses common 4-5 letter words — great for warming up or building confidence. Medium mode introduces 6-8 letter words that require more precise typing. Hard mode features 8-12 letter words including technical vocabulary, testing both typing speed and familiarity with complex words.
